About Our Law Firm
We enjoy working with people and are motivated to help them find solutions. We feel strongly about working for the best interests of families and children in our area.
Often, we do not see people at their best and, many times, they are unsure how to get through the legal process of divorce, adoption, protecting themselves from abuse and other types of family law disputes. We try to help our clients retain their dignity throughout the legal processes they face. We strive to maintain a high level of communication and to honor the relationship that did once exist.
What Sets Us Apart
At Purdy Law Office, LLC, we take a holistic approach to the cases we handle. Working as a team, our office will come alongside you and provide you with guidance with your emotional, financial and logistical needs. We will strive to resolve your legal issue with the best possible outcome for you and those you love. Additionally:
- All of our staff members work together with the lawyers as a team.
- All of our staff members are involved in each case so there is always someone who can take your call and answer your questions.
- We meet with each client on a regular basis to keep everyone up to date on what is happening and what comes next.
- We will help you with emerging and emergency situations.
- We will educate you about your options without automatically defaulting to litigation as a solution.
Most of our clients do not want to litigate their disputes. We will listen and base our representation on your goals; exploring alternative dispute resolution options that may help you attain your needs and desires without a fight.
About Our Family Law Attorneys & Staff
Both of our lawyers are skilled family law practitioners, and we have extensive knowledge of family law matters and the laws and rules used by the different county family law courts.
Pamela Purdy served as a custody conciliator for the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas from 2009 to 2015. Allison Hastings acts as a guardian ad litem representing the best interests of children in termination of parental rights and adoption cases in the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas and the Cumberland County Court of Common Pleas. Both Pamela and Allison are trained mediators and collaborative law attorneys. Kristy is our experienced paralegal.
Because of these and other roles that they play, they understand the resources available when assisting family law clients with difficult and sensitive issues and have hands-on experience in every aspect of family law. Their clients appreciate their knowledge and experience, and as a result, most of their business comes through referrals from current or past clients.
